The Institute of Islamic Studies is elated to share its publications on Islam and Muslims in the Philippines, made possible through the unwavering support of the UP Center for Integrative and Development Studies (UP CIDS) through its Islamic Studies Program (ISP). The Islamic Studies program is convened by the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Macrina A. Morados and is anchored on three research components: 1) HIKMA-Historical and Islamic Knowledge for the Modern Age; 2) The Shariah Courts; and, 3) The Moro Story. UP CIDS was established in 1985 by the late UP President Edgardo J. Angara, who envisioned the Center as the University’s policy research unit.
