The Master of Arts in Islamic Studies is the leading Islamic Studies graduate degree program in the Philippines and taught by distinguished scholars of their respective expertise. It is two and a half years program that equips the students with knowledge skills grounded on a complementing harmony of revealed knowledge (Islam) and rational knowledge.
The application period opens at specific months. Every April is for first-semester applicants, while the month of September is dedicated to second-semester applicants.
1st semester application period opens from April 03 to May 31.
2nd semester application period opens from September 1 to November 30.

**Cognate courses are taken outside the Institute, either College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, College of Social Works and Community Development, Asian Center, or College of Education.
ARABIC LANGUAGE COURSES provide a level of proficiency that will allow students to encounter Arabic words and texts in later courses with ease and familiarity.
ARABIC PROFICIENCY EXAMS are available for those with the facility in Arabic and wish to be exempt from the Arabic Language courses. Proficiency exams are scheduled two weeks before registration for a new semester.
