CITIZEN'S CHARTER

IIS Service Pledge
  • To provide opportunities for students, both Muslims and non-Muslims, to gain specialized knowledge of Islam and its social, cultural, political, and legal aspects.
  • To capacitate students, both Muslims and non-Muslims to further develop competence in Arabic as well as on various aspects of Islamic studies
  • To promote national awareness regarding Muslim culture, history, and institutions, towards creating national unity
  • To respond to the national and international issues on policies in the Philippines
  • To generate more discussions and publications on the Muslims in the Philippines
  • To conduct lecture series whenever necessary in Islamic history, law and religion, including contemporary events affecting the lives of Muslim Filipinos
  • To create deeper understanding and rapport between the Muslims of the Philippines and the whole community of the University of the Philippines system
  • To inculcate appreciation of cultural diversity, religious pluralism, interfaith dialogue as a means of promoting the paradigm of inclusive education and culture
  • To include women’s agenda in all phases of development geared towards empowerment through education and leadership training to maximize their contribution to the Ummah in particular and the nation in general
  • To undertake commissioned researchers regarding Muslim communities, Islamic heritage, and compilation of data
  • To translate documents from Arabic to English and vice versa and other local ethnic languages
  • To provide extension services such as Islamic Rituals Khutbah, Prayer, Marriage, Paggunting and others. 
  • To attend to all applicants or requesting parties who are within the premises of the office prior to the end of official working hours and during lunch break.
