To capacitate students, both Muslims and non-Muslims to further develop competence in Arabic as well as on various aspects of Islamic studies
To promote national awareness regarding Muslim culture, history, and institutions, towards creating national unity
To respond to the national and international issues on policies in the Philippines
To generate more discussions and publications on the Muslims in the Philippines
To conduct lecture series whenever necessary in Islamic history, law and religion, including contemporary events affecting the lives of Muslim Filipinos
To create deeper understanding and rapport between the Muslims of the Philippines and the whole community of the University of the Philippines system
To inculcate appreciation of cultural diversity, religious pluralism, interfaith dialogue as a means of promoting the paradigm of inclusive education and culture
To include women’s agenda in all phases of development geared towards empowerment through education and leadership training to maximize their contribution to the Ummah in particular and the nation in general
To undertake commissioned researchers regarding Muslim communities, Islamic heritage, and compilation of data
To translate documents from Arabic to English and vice versa and other local ethnic languages
To provide extension services such as Islamic Rituals Khutbah, Prayer, Marriage, Paggunting and others.
To attend to all applicants or requesting parties who are within the premises of the office prior to the end of official working hours and during lunch break.
