The Master of Arts in Islamic Studies is the leading Islamic Studies degree program in the Philippines and taught by distinguished scholars of their respective expertise. It is two and a half years program that equips the students with knowledge skills grounded on a complementing harmony of revealed knowledge (Islam) and rational knowledge. This classical approach that has dominated the golden axial age of Muslim civilization is UP IIS strategy to balance the worlds of Muslims and of Euro-American modernity.

Application period opens at specific months. Every June is for first semester applicants, while for the month of November is dedicated for second semester applicants.
1st semester 2022-2023 application period opens from June 01 to July 29, 2022.
2nd semester 2022-2023 application period opens from November 02 to 30, 2022.
Requirements:
– Letter of Application addressed to the Dean
– Two (2) Letters of Recommendation from your teacher or employer
– College Admission Slip
– Student Directory (2 copies)
– 2 passport-sized photos
– Photocopy of Transcript of Records (used for evaluation, signed at the back by the College SRE)
– Birth Certificate (both original and photocopy)
– Marriage Certificate (for married woman, both original and photocopy)
– Study Permit for foreign applicants
– Official TOEFL or IELTS scores report for foreign applicants, if English is not the medium of instruction (accepted minimum scores for TOEFL-iBT is 61, for computer-based is 173, for paper-based is 500, while 5.5 for all IELTS scores)
– Plan of Study (form is available at the Institute of Islamic Studies)
– Medical Certificate from UP Infirmary
– Honorable Dismissal or Certificate of Transfer credentials, if coming from other Philippine schools
– Official Transcript of Records, with a remark that the copy is for UP Diliman if coming from other schools
– Official Transcript of Records, if from other UP units the record must be in a sealed envelope or mail directly to UP IIS address.

1. Student accomplishes application form and submits required documents to the Student Records Section on or before the deadline set by the college or school
2. Submit the following requirements:

4. College SRE informs the accepted applicant of the results and issues the following:

…..4.2 List of requirements to be submitted to ARS-OUR; and
…..4.3 Referral slip to UPHS for Medical Certificate
5. College SRE gives the Form 002 (College Admission Slip) to accepted applicant and two copies of Student Directory (to be accomplished by the student) to be forwarded to the ARS-OUR.
6. Student submits the following to the ARS-OUR for issuance of University Admission Slip:

Good day Jhoe Manda. Our class schedule is different for every academic year. But usually, our classes were held on these schedules: Mondays to Fridays, between 4pm-8pm and on Saturdays, between 9am to 8pm.
